City Central Park As the name suggests, this park is located centrally in Shadowhurst and is the largest in city limits. Many outdoor events are hosted here, weather permitting. It is ideal for jogging, walking, meeting, etc. There are a few vendors located in the park, mostly food or art.	Downtown Located near and around City Central Park. Downtown is a mix of old and new buildings and skyscrapers. It has small businesses, restaurants, office buildings, hotels, apartments, and government buildings.	Riverside Cafe A nice waterfront dining experience for those sitting near a window or outside. It's a casual dining atmosphere with a bar and meals ranging $10-15.
Vida Nocturna A full service bar that identifies as neutral, but hires mostly vampires and gargoyles. It's open until 3:00am Monday through Thursday, 4:00am Friday and Saturday, but per Connecticut law it only serves alcohol 9:00am to 1:00am M-Th and 2:00am F-Sa and not on Sundays.	University of Connecticut at Shadowhurst A branch of the university in Hartford that provides most of the same degree offerings, plus some others. It has schools for business, the arts, the sciences, and law. They also offer masters and doctorate programs.	Shadowhurst News Observer The city's largest and oldest newspaper, with an office downtown dwarfed by the skyscrapers nearby. Its prints can be found just about anywhere, they're pushy when it comes to getting subscriptions, and it has an online publication.
Ouroboros Housed in an old, sedate brick building in the downtown district, Ouroboros at first looks like any other New Age store--displays of incense, crystals, books, jewelry, tarot decks, music, oils, herbs. For humans who fancy themselves witches, that's all it is. To those with the real ability to sense magic, the store opens to them, rooms of supplies for the true practitioner. Ouroboros has been open for generations, and it is the place to go for quality supplies and equipment.
