• Description: Vampires are one of the most feared and hunted species. They are former humans who have been bitten by another vampire and fed some of their blood. They arise a day later with an almost insatiable thirst for blood. Newborn vampires are dangerous and unpredictable. Control is gained with time and assistance. They do not become stronger over time, only more able to blend in with society. Vampires cannot go out in daylight without a witch's assistance, which is limited. For instance, they cannot spend a whole day in the sun, only a few hours at maximum. They can make themselves eat food, but it isn't as satiating as blood and will not sustain them. Vampires will have their own preferences for blood types, including blood from different species. Note that the blood of a hunter tastes no different from a human, but may be more satisfying psychologically. Vampires may travel together in small groups, but these are not official.
